Ivorian footballer Max -Alain Gradel finally calls it quit with the Ivorian national team after 13 years in The Elephant jersey.
Gradel had his first international call – up in 2010 by then swedish coach Sven Goran Erickson in 2010 ahead of friendly match with Poland but had to wait till June 2011 to officially feature for the Ivorians in Afcon qualifier against Benin.
The 36 years old winger scored total of 18 goals in 113 appearance for the national team.
Max Gradel played huge role in Cote D’Ivoire’s success in Africa cup of nations in 2015 and 2024 against Ghana and Nigeria respectively He was also part of the Ivorian team that came second in Afcon 2012 after losing to Chipolopo of Zambia on penalties.
Max-Alain currently plays for Gaziantep in the Turkish super league.
