Stanley Nyantekyi, a rising boxer from the Bronx Boxing Gym in Accra, defeated Emmanuel Quartey, a journeyman known as “Akufo Addo,” to win the National Featherweight Title Belt on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the SG Mall in Kumasi.
In addition, Nyantekyi, also known as the Ashanti Warrior, got the fight started quickly to keep his supporters focused and prepared for action as he returned to action following a late downpour.
The newly crowned champion was born and raised in Kumasi, but he decided to travel to Accra to learn how to box. His cornermen, who were happy that their ward would have a bright future, were impressed by the way the younger fighter applied pressure with well-placed shots.
Quartey, who had had enough punches and was limping and gasping for air, made the decision not to attend round four.

Fit Square Gym’s Eric Quarm squared off against Richard Fenyi, and Emmanuel Otoo faced off against Sani Yidane Kugley.
Hardworking Nigerian Samson Solomon defeated Kwesi Tuti. Usife Lambo and Aaron Ashley gave a good account of themselves, the same as Robert Bruce and John Power.
