Under the auspices of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will call an emergency meeting on Thursday, April 18, to discuss urgent matters that concerning the club.
Key participants at the meeting will include the playing body, the technical team, the interim management committee, and the leadership of the supporters.
Concerns over Kotoko’s recent performance in the Ghana Premier League, where they have struggled to gain positive results, have grown, leading to the decision to call the meeting.
When a group of supporters interrupted the club’s training session at the Adako Jachie Training Grounds and demanded the dismissal of Coach Prosper Ogum and his technical staff, the situation reached a breaking point.
The event brought to light the mounting dissatisfaction among supporters, who have seen Kotoko win just once in their last ten games while losing eight and drawing one. The Porcupine Warriors, who have won the league championship 24 times, have a long history of success in domestic contests, thus this run of bad performances is unusual for them.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the club’s owner and life patron, is acting proactively to resolve the situation in response to the dissatisfaction among fans and the team’s poor performance. The purpose of the emergency meeting is to bring stakeholders together and come up with plans to get Kotoko backon track.
