In an attempt to break the current Guinness World Record for the longest walking marathon, a resident of Techiman in the Bono East Region Seidu Rafiwu embarked on a four day walk-a-thon journey.
In order to beat Jesse Casteneda’s American record of 48 years, Seidu Rafiwu, who started his ambitious four day walk from Techiman to Accra, completed a distance of 383 kilometers.
On Tuesday, just hours before noon, he finished a walking marathon at Ghana’s Independence Square.
Rafiwu is confident that his achievement will meet the criteria for the Guinness World Record for the longest distance covered on foot.
Rafiwu answered confidently to JoySports when he was asked if he could break the record “Marsha Allah, nothing is going to happen that way. If it does, it is God’s will.”
