Zebra Ivestment Group has announced the successful takeover of Tamale City FC after acquiring 80 percent of stakes in the club.The parties have subsequently signed an MOU after signalling an agreement on the takeover.
A press statement released on May 1 2024, signed by Executive Chairman Iddris Abdulai of Zebra Investment Group confirms the takeover and revealed measures they intend to put in place to help the club qualify to the Ghana Premier League.
Some of the measures as announced include; payment of salaries for the playing body and technical bench on a regular basis, provision of funds based on budgets for each game with an undertaking to pay any winnings bonuses and settlement of accrued debts and salaries after validation from audits.
Zebra Investment Group further assured fans and all members of the Tamale City fraternity that they will soon roll out a medium term plan on the future of the club.
