RC Lens is reportedly considering the move of midfielder Salis Abdul Samed during the upcoming transfer window after a string of poor performances this season.
Samed, who joined Lens in 2022 after leaving Clermont Foot for €5 million, quickly established himself as a key player, winning a one-year contract extension that would keep him with the team until June 2028.
There were great expectations for his future performance because of his major achievements in the past, which helped the squad finish runners-up in Ligue 1 and qualify for the Champions League.
However, Samed has not lived up to those expectations this season. Struggling with consistency, he has lost the trust of his coach, Franck Haise. This can be seen in his reduced playing time in recent matches.
The Ghanaian international has been linked to a number of clubs in the past, but his current form has raised doubts about whether he will be able to secure a transfer to a suitable club in the next transfer window.
He has started 17 Ligue 1 games this season, but only eight in 2024.
