Ghanaian dancehall and reggae legend Ras Kuuku disclosed that Kofi Kinaata took off his verse from “Effiakuma Love.”
Ras Kuuku said on Hitz FM’s Daybreak show that he was on the song when Kofi Kinaata wrote it and that he even sang his verse that was cut during the live interview.
One of the pundits even asked whether he was supposed to be on the song or Kofi Kinaata took it off. He affirmed that he was on, and Kofi took it off.
When asked if he had any complaints about what Kofi Kinaata had done, Ras Kuuku responded,
I dont have any grudge with him because he is my brother.
“I do not know how the media managed to know about it,”
implying that he is unsure how the presenter heard about the matter.
The radio host continued by speculating that either Ras Kuuku’s verse was superior to Kofi’s voice or Kofi removed it because his voice was not that great.
Ras Kuuku was also asked if he would sing a song with Kinaata or if he would sing a verse for Kinaata when he was called, to which he gave a firm no.
He has vowed never to grant any invitation for a collaboration with Kofi Kinaata.
