Three people have tragically lost their lives in an accident that happened when their car on the Tema Motorway crashed into a flooded gutter close to the abattoir bridge during a heavy downpour.
Noel Adams, the driver, was last seen alive on Saturday, May 26, and has been listed as missing ever since. Adams, according to his brother, had left Tema with two girls in tow and was traveling to Accra. As he arrived at the bridge over the abattoir, he could barely see through the deep flooding that made it difficult for him to see.
Sadly, their vehicle lost control and crashed into the gutter. Pedestrians found the submerged car and reported it to the police. The car was discovered to be empty upon inspection, prompting more searches.
Bodies were recovered from the water after witnesses claimed that libations were poured at the scene. The body of the second passenger was discovered at Tema Community 19.
Adams’s body, however, was found at a beach in Klagon a few days later. It was suspected that he attempted to exit the vehicle as the windscreen was broken and his door was open when the car was found.
People think that the floodwaters carried his body away. It has not yet been determined who the two passengers are.
