The highly anticipated inaugural Democracy Cup match, originally set for July 5th, has been rescheduled to July 17th, 2024.
The match between Ghanaian football giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium.
While organizers have not provided full details regarding the postponement, as reported by Joy Sports, the move comes amidst preparations for this grand event, which marks Ghana’s Parliament’s 30th anniversary.
The winner of this historic fixture will earn the right to face DC United in Washington, USA.
This tournament aims to not only celebrate the three-decade milestone of Ghana’s legislative body but also to foster national unity in the lead-up to the December 7, 2024, general elections.
Adding to the excitement, a special curtain-raiser match will feature Members of Parliament facing off against former Black Stars players.
