Indigenous airline Goldstar Air will be initiating a biweekly (2 weeks) employee pay structure in Ghana, which will be on one frequency with other destinations’ salary structure to avoid employment discrimination and first of its kind in the aviation sector in the country.
The airline has been issued an Air Carrier Licence by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and is looking forward to the demonstration flight with our aircraft after the inspection, then to be registered or put on the Ghana registry and issued a certificate to enable the airline to operate its aircraft, to create over one hundred thousand direct jobs and over one million indirect jobs.
After the issuance of the operator’s certificate, which will give the airline operational control to operate its aircraft with Ghanaians and the opportunity to conclude arrangements for codeshare flights to serve all the federal states in the United States of America and other countries as well.
In payroll processing, the terms “biweekly pay” and “semimonthly pay” are not synonymous. When employees are paid on a semimonthly basis, they’re paid twice a month regardless of how many weeks there are. That means 24 pay periods per year, or two less than under the biweekly payroll model. Because the 15th and 30th of the month can sometimes fall on a holiday or weekend, As the name suggests, biweekly payroll involves paying employees on a set day every other week, resulting in 26 paydays per year, or 27 if it’s a leap year. Data suggests that Friday is a particularly popular choice among companies with biweekly pay, accounting for nearly 60 percent of all paydays.
Because each month contains a little more than four weeks, twice a year employees will receive three paychecks a month. Getting paid every other week has become an American tradition, with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics ranking biweekly pay as the country’s most popular pay frequency.
According to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goldstar Air Eric Bannerman, the airline with a payday every other week (Biweekly) will eliminate corruption within the organization. We will also be bringing most of the sales all over the world to the central bank before going ahead with any payment and the rest will be a backup for the country’s reserves and can help us avoid going back to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in future. An example of what David Kotei Poison loaned to the Ghanaian government of General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong in 1976 after his second title defense boxing bout against Japanese Shig Fukuyama, for the purchase of some commodities for the state to support the economy.
Central banks represent a country’s financial institution, but they can also represent a group of them. Central banks have become much more technologically creative since money does not have to be physically present to work in exchange for money for goods and services. Businesses and consumers could use checks, debit and credit cards, balance transfers, and online transactions.
Goldstar Air’s delightful opportunities for all our employees will have three months’ salary savings for each junior staff, which will enable them to purchase imported used cars and make their movement to and from work easier to maintain high-level operations and deliver good services and a biweekly pay schedule makes it easier to reduce debt or save money in the months you receive an additional paycheck. Employees can later get some for their family members within the shortest possible time.
Goldstar Air will also assist employees willing to own their estate houses or apartments by giving guarantees and deducting the monthly payment from their salaries. Some employees who will earn per diem can also save some and buy motorbikes to avoid traffic to work. Airlines are all about customer service, so it will be no surprise that Goldstar Air will emphasize taking care of our employees.
This airline’s initiatives for our employees will also boost the sales of car dealers and real estate agents in Ghana and add to the airline’s indirect job creation.
Biweekly pay schedules compared between an employer and employee will be the best of both worlds because employers can run payroll biweekly or even less frequently while their employees can access their earned pay more frequently if they need it, which might be an incentive to improve attendance rates, increase productivity, builds trust with employees and improves morale. Together, we will work hard to establish a respected and widely recognized name brand that stands the test of time.
Mr. Bannerman emphasized that, when the labor force gains more human capital, including skills and general knowledge, producers gain the tools to make more goods and provide more services. When people trade their money for goods and services, a mutually beneficial exchange occurs, and when multiplied across the entire economy, it increases growth and well-being.
Goldstar Air 24/7/365 direct jobs which the youth of the country will benefit are Pilots, Ground service crew, Service person in maintenance, Cabin crew, Counter agents, Travel agents, Tour operators, Country managers, Station managers, Accountants, Flight dispatchers, Drivers, Marketing personnel, Cleaners, IT managers, Air marshals, Cargo agents, Catering services, Fuel suppliers, etc.
According to the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO), a sustainable, safe, and secure global aviation development relies on the availability of qualified and competent employees, supervisors and managers to plan, coordinate, manage, operate, maintain, and oversee all complex operations in various airports, airspaces, airplanes, etc.
Goldstar Air employees will be well-positioned to stay updated on the latest airline industry trends, technologies, and strategies. The airline will often have training sessions or seminars designed to keep our employees informed of the latest developments in the airline industry.
Ghanaian travel and tour agents have been denied access to international airline distribution platforms because of the fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) guarantee and that denies young entrepreneurs to create their businesses, therefore the coming of Goldstar Air will give them the hope and opportunity to be their bosses whiles employing others and it is part of our initiative to create over one hundred direct jobs and over one million indirect jobs.
When the youth are been denied setting up their travel agencies because of the guarantee, most of them end up operating without a travel and tour license from the Ghana Tourism Authority and only concentrate on acquiring visas for their clients, so our initiative will encourage more start-ups in some sectors of the Ghanaian economy. Motivating the youth to set up their agencies and integrate our online billing platform for them to issue tickets on a pay-as-you-go basis will also help stabilize the economy.
The credit system in developed countries is making foreign travel agencies take over the local business from Ghanaian travel agencies with their online bookings. A lot of travel and tour agencies have closed their offices and foreign online travel agencies have taken over the local market in Ghana.
In a world where online booking platforms and travel websites have become the norm, particularly in Ghana, many traditional travel agencies are struggling to stay afloat. A telling sign of this decline is the faded or whitewashed signposts that once proudly displayed their names and services.
These weathered signs, often bearing the names of travel agencies that were once thriving now stand as a testament to the industry’s decline. The faded letters and peeling paint serve as a metaphor for the agency’s diminishing presence in the travel market.
While a few Ghanaian travel agencies have been able to adapt to the changing landscape, others have been unable to keep up with the shift. Their faded signposts serve as a reminder of Ghana losing businesses to other countries because they can be at any point and sell from Ghana, denying the country some taxes.
With the many benefits and opportunities to grow and develop professionally, Goldstar Air will always recruit talented and ambitious employees for management and leadership positions. With hard work and dedication, it is possible to move up through the ranks of our airline, ultimately landing higher pay with great responsibility.
Goldstar Air’s 24-hour service will be a valuable contributor to Ghana’s economic prosperity and provide a rapid worldwide transportation network, making it essential for global businesses to generate economic growth, create jobs, and facilitate international trade and tourism.
