Former Black Stars footballer Charles Taylor has strongly criticised Ghana’s Sports Minister, Honourable Mustapha Yusif, for failing to maintain the country’s stadiums.
Charles Taylor voiced displeasure and disappointment with the existing quality of Ghana’s stadiums especially until recent public criticism.
According to Charles Taylor, the recent attempt to repair deteriorating stadiums in the country is not a compelling argument to keep the existing government, which selected him as Sports Minister.
“Six months to elections and they are now coming to fix stadiums. This will not change our mind from deposing them from government. He [Mustapha Yusif] is the worst sports minister to have managed football. A lot of stadiums have been left to rot. They get funds from FIFA and they should ought to use them well. This minister does not respect footballers, he only regards the Black Stars.” He said on Angel TV as quoted by Ghanaweb.
