Honourable Andrew Egyapa Mercer, Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture and MP for Sekondi Constituency has provided financial support to the RoamRovers, a group of Tourism Marketing students at the University of Media Arts and Communication Institute Of Journalism Campus.
This donation comes in the wake of a planned one-day trip to Afadjato and the Wli Waterfalls in the Volta Region by these students on Saturday 10th August 2024 so as to equip them with practical experiences in tourism management and marketing, fostering essential skills in real-world scenarios while promoting domestic tourism and environmental sustainability.
The donation does not only signify the Minister’s commitment and dedication to education but also his incredible support to the promotion of domestic tourism.
The RoamRovers have subsequently penned a message to the Minister to express their sincerest gratitude.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Andrew Egyapa Mercer, Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture and MP for Sekondi Constituency, for his invaluable support and endorsement of our expeditions to the Volta Region.” The message reads.
The support will be instrumental in bringing this initiative to fruition and on their part, the Roam Rovers are committed to ensuring that the investment yields maximum impact.
