Ghana’s senior men’s team Black Stars have dropped three places in the latest FIFA rankings, falling from 70th to 73rd in the world.
This decline comes after the team’s mixed results in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, which saw them draw 0-0 with Sudan at home and lose 2-0 away.
Ghana has seen a consistent decline in recent years due to poor showings in international tournaments and qualification games.
Ghana remains in the top 15 African teams, currently ranked 14th on the continent. However the standards have fallen drastically.
The team will be looking to improve their position as they hope to qualifiers and secure a place in the 2025 AFCON tournament as well as the World Cup.
