Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara said Ghana can still qualify for the 2025 AFCON.
Mr Daara urged Otto Addo to invite the best players that could propel the team to qualify during the final round of games.
The Black Stars will be hosted by Palancras Negras of Angola on November 15 at the Estaidio 11 de Novembro, followed by a home match against Niger Republic three days later at the Accra Sports Stadium.
However, Otto Addo is set to name his squad for the games and Sannie Daara has dismissed calls for the invitation of local players for the games.
According to him, the Black Stars are still in the race to qualify for the tournament despite their poor start and will need the best and experience players for the games.
“We have to do anything possible to ensure that we qualify for the AFCON, so we have to invite the best players because we are still in the race for qualification,” he told Asempa FM.
“We have won against Mali in the World Cup qualifiers, so it’s still possible we can go and win at Angola and beat Niger as well.
“We have the players and talent to do it,” he added.
After recording two draws and two defeats, The Black Stars currently sit in third place in Group F after two draws and two defeats.
For Ghana to qualify, they must win their games and hope Sudan lose their games against Niger and Angola.
