Ghana Football Association Communication Director, Henry Asante-Twum has disclosed that the clubs that received the buses already knew that they were not new.
Speaking in an interview on Game Plan a sport show on Joy Fm, Mr Twum said that the clubs are aware about the state of the buses with the exception of the condition of the buses.
“Clubs were aware the buses were not brand new. I think the problem was with the condition,” he explained.
“It is unfortunate that some of the clubs received buses that were not in good condition. It was never the intention of the GFA to provide buses that would cause problems for the clubs instead of assisting them.” He added
The Ghana Football Association received backlash after the buses were disbursed to various teams. One of the teams was said to overhaul the buses after GFA presented it to them.
