Member of parliament for Hohoe, Mr John Peter Amewu has commissioned an ultra modern Sport Stadium at Hohoe in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The magnificent facility, features a football pitch, spectator stands, volleyball court, lawn tennis court, basketball court, and a swimming pool. It is one of the largest sports complexes in the Volta Region and Ghana.
The commissioning was graced by former footballers and other dignitaries such as the legendary Maestro Abedi Ayew Pele, Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Mr. Kurt S.E. Okraku, the chiefs and elders of Hohoe, and members of the iconic 2010 Black Stars squad were all present during the memorable event.
The ceremony was crowned with an inaugural match between the 2010 Black Stars squad, including stalwarts like Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, John Paintsil, Samuel Inkoom, Fatau Dauda, and Prince Tagoe, John Mensah, Aminu Dramani and the Hohoe Select Side.
The match ended in a thrilling 4-1 victory for the Black Stars team.
