Ghana striker Jonathan Sowah has rejected a move to join Tanzanian outfit Singida Black Stars, despite Al Nasr sanctioning the move.
The development has opened the door for South African giants Kaizer Chiefs, who have established contact with Sowah’s agent.
According to sources, Al Nasr had agreed to a $220,000 transfer fee, and Sowah had finalized personal terms with Singida Black Stars. However, the Ghanaian striker has had a change of mind, opting instead to pursue a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
The South African club has identified Sowah as a priority signing, and negotiations are reportedly underway. Sowah’s impressive performance in the Ghana Premier League, where he scored 19 goals in 35 appearances caught the attention of top clubs.
With his experience playing for Medeama SC and Al Nasr Benghazi, Sowah is poised to make a significant impact in the South African league. Kaizer Chiefs’ interest in the striker is a testament to his growing reputation as a clinical goal-scorer.
