Former Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi has Ghanaians sport fanatics confuse after claiming that, Asante Kotoko Sporting Club is the biggest football club in Ghana.
His chief reason is that each premier division club in Ghana pays 12.5% of gate proceeds to the GFA for every league match played.
Statistically, Asante Kotoko alone contributed 50% of the total pool of monies paid to GFA from league matches over the 13 years he spent at GFA. The rest of clubs including Accra Hearts of Oak SC contributed the other half.
The former GFA president has recently descend on the current management after the senior national team the Black Stars missed the AFCON slot.
