Newly commissioned STMA Sports Unit to start inspection tour
The Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly Sports Unit on Monday, September 3 held its first meeting following the council’s inauguration on August 29.
Headed by former Sekondi Hasaacas FC Interim Committee Chairman, Mr. Kwesi Essel, the council during the meeting outlined various department’s which will be tackled before the end of the year.
The Sports Unit will zoom into inspection of various facilities and equipment within the jurisdiction of the metropolis, the will be meeting with various stakeholders in sports: Mass Sports, Heads of Basic and Second Cycle Schools, Private Schools, Media and others and paramount on the list of the Unit will be to draw sports policies for the STMA.

Sports journalist at Rok FM, Kwaku Sagoe was appointed as the Unit’s Spokesperson and Mr. Victor Fameh as the Secretary.
