The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged 10 players from Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko for alleged breaches of Section 12(1)(j) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019.
These charges stem from incidents of unsporting behavior during the Ghana Premier League Matchday 19 fixture on February 2, 2025, at the Nana Kronamansah Park.
The charged players include:
1. Stephen Diyou (Nsoatreman FC)
2. Mohammed Camara(Asante Kotoko)
3. Justice Blay (Asante Kotoko)
4. Frank Dongballe (Nsoatreman FC)
5. Abdul Rahaman Mohammed (Nsoatreman FC)
6. Walid Neymar Fuseini (Nsoatreman FC)
7. Gilbani O’Neil Ndongani Samba (Asante Kotoko)
8. Andrews Ntim Manu(Asante Kotoko)
9. Mohammed Issaka (Nsoatreman FC)
10. Eric Osei Bonsu (Nsoatreman FC)
According to the GFA, these players are alleged to have engaged in actions that violated the principles of fair play and sportsmanship during the game, which was already marred by violent disturbances leading to the tragic death of a fan.
The GFA has given the accused players until Wednesday, February 5, 2025, to respond to the charges leveled against them.
