Ghana football legend Mohammed Polo has called on the authorities of GFA and the new Sports minister to dismiss Ghana Black Stars coach Otto Addo after failing to qualify for the AFCON.
Otto Addo has been criticized severely by Ghanaians for failing to qualify the Senior National Team the Black Stars to the continental showpiece which will be staged in Morocco. Addo couldn’t qualify Ghana in a group comprised of Angola, Niger and Sudan.
Polo reiterated his displeasure about the authorities sustaining the coach after his failure to qualify Ghana to AFCON. He said, so far as they have appointed technical advisor for him means he is not good enough to handle the Black Stars. He said,
“Otto Addo should have been sacked right after the AFCON qualification failure. If you appoint a technical advisor for him, then it means the coach is not good enough. If Otto Addo were capable enough, he would have qualified Ghana for the AFCON.
“We should allow him to go for the technical advisor to take full charge of the team. For me, the technical advisor is going to do the job for him.”
