The stage is set for the second edition of the annual UniMAC Pitch Day, where final-year Public Relations students from the University of Media, Arts, and Communication (UniMAC), will showcase their strategic communication prowess by pitching a campaign in groups.
Among the competing teams is BrandGuru, a PR agency that has developed a powerful attitudinal and behavioral change campaign against the stigma faced by persons living with disabilities.
Over the past six weeks, this student-composed agency has worked tirelessly to research, strategize, and craft a campaign for aimed at fostering inclusivity within the Greater Accra Region with Telecel being the campaign sponsor.
Their campaign, dubbed “Erase the Labels,” seeks to challenge negative stereotypes and advocate for a more accepting society.
UniMAC Pitch Day 2025 will take place on April 1 at 4:00 PM, bringing together industry professionals, faculty, and students for a dynamic showcase of PR talent.
BrandGuru will compete against five other agencies, each presenting innovative campaigns designed to tackle real-world challenges.
The competition provides an opportunity for students to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting, receiving feedback from seasoned PR experts. It also serves as a bridge between academia and industry, allowing future professionals to demonstrate their ability to craft and execute impactful communication strategies.
