Finally, September 12 has been set for the meeting between government of Ghana, Confederation of African Football and Federation of International Football Association to settle on the much awaited Normalization Committee.
Football in Ghana is currently waiting on a normalization committee to take over affairs to run football in the country till a new election to elect replacement of the former GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Wednesday, September 12 is proposed for the historic meeting between GoG, FIFA and CAF to settle and announce the names to partake in the running of football.
Representatives from CAF and FIFA are expected in Ghana on Tuesday, September 11 to meet delegation of GoG to settle on the names.
The seven member committee, would not be permitted to vie for any position in the GFA general elections.
“We are meeting with FIFA and CAF on Wednesday, to present to them the names, we have earmarked for the committee, which would put to rest how Ghana Football would be run for the mean time,” the Sports Minister, Honorable Asiamah told GNA.
“We know Ghanaians love their game and are waiting for it to start and that has always been the wish of government, but the right things must be done well,” he added.
The NC, which is set to replace the Executive Committee of the GFA would now run the day-to-day activities of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
