Ghanaian youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is interested in making his move to former EPL champions Leicester City permanent.
The loan agreement for the 19-year-old winger includes a potential permanent deal that could be signed in the summer.
Leicester will reportedly have to pay €17 million (£14.6 million) if they are promoted back to the Premier League and if Issahaku plays in 60 percent of the team’s games this season.
With two goals in 15 league games since joining Leicester City on loan from the Portuguese team in the summer, Fatawu has already had an impact thanks to his quick and brilliant play.
In an interview, Fatawu stated that he wanted to stay and play in the EPL if Leicester was promoted. He stated,
“Premier League is my dream league, so I’m hoping to play there, and since arriving, Leicester has given me a different feeling.
How the people here have given me more confidence to stay here.”
“For me, I’d be happy to stay at Leicester because I know and believe in the team, that we will qualify for the Premier League, so I’ll be happy to stay here, he concluded.”
