Enterprising sportscaster, Abou Diaby has left Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio/TV.
The versatile sports broadcaster has ended stay with the radio and television station owned by astute politician and leader of the NPP in Ashanti Region Chairman Wontumi.
Abou Diaby has resigned from Wontumi Radio after two years of active service.
He announced his decision on his social media page which reads, “My time, since working at Wontumi media, from the 8th of June 2020 till now, has been the most wonderful and most importantly, the most impactful moment in my life as a journalist.
“I therefore say a very big thank you to the head of management (esp. Chairman Antwi Bosiako, Wontumi), my co-workers and the entire Wontumi media family – including our most cherished and revered audience.
As I say goodbye to this wonderful family, I hope this bond that we’ve been established for ourselves continues and even become more effective than it used to be. And also I hope and pray that the media will continue to thrive from grace to grace.
God bless Wontumi Family, God bless Wontumi media, God bless Wontumi TV/FM.”
Stronger than Apathy!”
As to what necessitated his resignation remains not known to us despite several attempts to find out.
Abou Diaby has been heavily linked to another Kumasi-based radio station, Sompa FM who have captured ace sportscaster Jeffery Asare.
Reports also have it that Angel FM in Accra have shown interest in securing his signature after leaving Wontumi where he created a special bond with King Eben, Atta Poku and Kweku Edilson.
