Ghana National Gas Company has commissioned a 8-unit classroom block at the Faith Basic Presbyterian School at Shaishie in Accra.
The 8-unit classroom block is the first phase of the 12-unit classroom block project at the school. The second phase of construction, which will include a 4-unit classroom block, will begin in September, 2022.
The classrooms are fully equipped with student desks, white chalkboards, chairs, and tables.
Dr. Ben K.D. Asante, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana National Gas Company, stated that through a comprehensive corporate social responsibility policy, Ghana Gas has accomplished commendable achievements in healthcare, water and sanitation, sports, and education, across all regions of the country.
Dr. Asante reaffirmed the Company’s commitment to providing a platform for students’ intellectual and physical well-being, as well as promoting communal cohesion for the church and community.[ads2]
The event’s chairman, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, Chief Executive Officer of Special Ice, commended Ghana Gas for providing Faith Basic Presbyterian School with the educational infrastructure at this moment and expressed his belief that this will help the pupils grow into responsible citizens in the near future.
He also thanked the Presbyterian Church for its contributions towards education in this country.
Other dignitaries in attendance included; Rev. Isaac Quist, District Minister in charge of Kaajaano, Rev. Kingsley Asare Addo, and Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah, Ayawaso West Wuogon Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Ga Presbytery Chairperson, Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, and Professor Adelaide Kastner.
