Ghana Premier League club Accra Great Olympics have re-signed talismanic midfielder Gladson Awako after he departed from rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC.
The 33-year-old attacking midfielder signed for arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC in 2023 but has opted to return to his former club.
The former TP Mazembe talisman was an exciting player to watch when at his peak. In addition, he captained the Black Galaxies and played for several other national teams.
The signing of Awako will benefit Accra Great Olympics since his extensive local and international experience will be very beneficial.
Awako has also played for Hearts of Lions, Wa All Stars, Brekum Chelsea, Don Bosco, Phoenix Rising in the USA, and Recreativo Huelva in Spain.
As of right now, Great Olympics are ranked 12th in the league table, while their fierce rivals are ranked 11th.
