Ghana Premier League’s second most successful side, Accra Hearts of Oak is planning on engaging the most successful club in the western region, Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club in a friendly encounter.
The two former Ghana Premier League winners are set for a historic friendly encounter in a bid to quench the thirst for football in the region.
Accra Hearts of Oak has already reached the closing stage of the discussion with management of the famous ‘Giants of the West’ and an intended date and venue could be out before long.
The two last clashed behind closed doors at the Sekondi Sports Stadium with Cosmos Dauda’s Cristiano Ronaldo informed back heel on the 59th minute gifting the visitors, Hearts of Oak all three points.
But before that, Accra Hearts of Oak suffered a 3:0 defeat in the 2014-15 season of the Ghana Premier League at the same venue proving to be a match not to miss by fans of the two clubs in the region.
Sekondi Hasaacas resumed training two weeks ago and are thirsting for a game following the postponement of the GHALCA organized StarTimes Cup.
It promises nothing short of excitement if the two are able to make the fixture a reality and not just a talk.
