Former captain of Aduana Stars Emmanuel Akuoko says the club has disappointed the Club’s life patron, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Nana Agyemang-Badu II, after missing out on the Ghana Premier League title later in the season.
The Ogya Boys were on course to clinch their third BetPawa Premier League title after staying on top of the league standings for several weeks. However, they lost steam towards the end of the season. Medeama SC took advantage of their slip-up to win their first league title.
In an interview with Kessben FM as scribed by Footballghana Akuoko, who won two league titles with the Fire Boys, was blunt that his former outfit disappointed the life patron of the club after losing the GPL title.
“The club has really disappointed their life patron, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Nana Agyemang-Badu II. Aduana moved to the first position in week 7 and maintained the position for a long time. However, it lost the title to Medeama in the early stages of the season. I was very hurt when they lost the league. In my opinion, losing the title at the eleventh hour wasn’t an impressive performance by the entire team,” he said.
