The Ghana U-23 after eliminating Gabon from the AFCON U-23 qualifiers as well as the Tokyo 2020 Olympics qualifiers will face Algeria U-23 in the final qualifiers .
Ghana who are very determined to secure a qualification to the 2020 Olympics, hammered Gabon 4:0 in the first leg of the qualifiers and travelled to Libreville to share spoils with Gabon. The team advanced to the final stage of the qualifiers 4:0 on aggregates.
Algeria on the other hand, managed to secure next round qualification after thumping Equitorial Guinea by 3:1 in both legs.
The two countries will meet in the final round of the qualifiers to battle for a qualification to the two tournaments.
Ghana will host Algeria in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on June 5 before travelling to Algiers on 9th June, 2019 for the return leg.
The Ghana U-23 side are poised to secure a qualification to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after qualifying for the last time in 2004 at Athens.
