Former Hearts of Oak player, Charles Taylor has advised Black Meteors Captain, Daniel Afriye Barnieh to improve performance after Ghana’s 3-2 win over Congo in the TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations opener on Sunday.
Ernest Nuamah scored Ghana’s first goal of the game before substitute Emmanuel Yeboah added two more to put Ghana in cruise control before the Congolese side pulled two goals back to end the game 3-2.
Afriyie Barnieh, the skipper of the Ghana Under-23 was substituted after the first half ot the game. The double substitutions by Coach Ibrahim Tanko aided Ghana’s victory.
The performance of the Ghana team has created great inspiration for the team to return to the Olympics game after failing to do so since Athens 2004.
Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko forward, Charles Taylor has waded into the discussion and called for Barnieh to desist from certain attitude.

Speaking on Angel TV , Taylor stated that the FC Zurich forward has lost focus and has to change his ways – “he has lost focus, If he doesn’t change his ways, he will become worst than this”.
Afriyie Barnieh joined FC Zurich last season from Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak and made only three appearances for the Swizz-based side.

Barnieh helped Hearts of Oak to secure two MTN FA Cup titles and the Ghana Premier League before his move abroad.
