The Akropong school for the blind located in the Akuapem North Municipality in the Eastern region, have received donation worth millions of cedis from the Afro-Arab Group of Companies.
The items donated were jellabiya dresses, well branded exercise books of the centenary celebrations of the national Chief Imam among others.
Speaking on behalf of Salamu Amadu who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, Ms. Fafoumata stated that, the donation exercise forms part of the company’s celebration of the Eid al-Fitr and assured that the donation will form part of their activities for every calendar year.
She continued that, the company, largely commended for its charitable works to the needy, poor and the aged, have also opened its doors to support each and every intelligent but needy Islamic students across the country.
The headmistress of the school, Madam Mahela Narh thanked the company for the unflinching support to the school and urged other stakeholders and philanthropical organizations to emulate Afro Arab Group of Companies.
A Qur’an recitation was held to honour the group Chairman and the staff of Afro Arab as an appreciation by the students.
