Christian Nukpeta, the Sene West ballot box snatcher has been sentenced to three months imprisonment.
The 39-year old was reported to have snatched one of the parliamentary boxes in the Sene West constituency in the Bono East Region when the counting process was ongoing.[ads2]
It took the security personnel at that time to chase and arrest Nukpeta who has broken the seal of the ballot box.
At a court hearing, Christian Nukpeta pleaded guilty, stating that he still don’t know what came over him to snatch the ballot box.[ads3]
Aside the three months imprisonment, Christian Nukpeta has been banned five years from registering and voting in any elections in the country.[ads4]
He has also been fined Gh¢3,600.
Meanwhile, the Sene West results of the genera elections is still hanging due to a court injunction..[ads5]
