Contest 1 of today’s National Maths and Science Quiz ended with below par performance from another Western Region School as Ahantaman Girls’ SHS bowed out by a whooping 25 points adrift of contest winners Edinaman SHS.
After yesterday’s masterclass from St John’s School, hopes were high that perhaps Ahantaman Girls’ will add to the quarter finals slots earned by schools from the Western region.
It was rather shocking today as Edinaman SHS proved to be a tougher nut for both OLA SHS and Ahantaman Girls.
After the first round, Ahantaman Girls’ and OLA SHS were 7 points beneath Edinaman SHS who had gathered 19 points.
The points gap kept widening up and ended up with the following scores.
UGBS: End of contest:
Edinaman SHS: 45pts
OLA SHS, Ho: 32pts
Ahantaman Girls’ SHS: 20pts
Congratulations Edinaman SHS!
