President Akufo-Addo has realigned seven Ministries for his second term as the leader of the country.
The Ministries include; Aviation, Business Development, Inner City and Zongo Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Planning, Regional Re-Organization and Development and Special Development Initiatives.[ads2]
According to a statement from the Communication Directorate at the Presidency, these Ministries have achieved the purposes for which they were established hence the realignment.
The statement further states that, President Akufo-Addo has submitted to the speaker of Parliament, the list of proposed ministers and Regional Ministers of his second term on Thursday, January 21, 2021 for prior approval for appointment.[ads3]
Also, ministers for President Akufo-Addo’s second term will not exceed 85 despite his first term having 126 ministers, the highest in the history of the fourth republic of Ghana.
