The Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has made it known that President Akufo-Addo will not announce a lockdown of Ghana.

According to the Minister, President Akufo-Addo will address the nation tonight with latest updates on measures to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus disease.
Already expert have advised that Ghana goes to a gradual lockdown to avoid the high rate of the pandemic in the country.
On his Twitter page, Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah assured that despite the advices from the medical experts in the country, President Akufo-Addo will never announce a lockdown in his address tonight.

“[President Akufo-Addo] has just concluded a meeting of the Covid-19 response committee. H. E. will address the nation tonight with latest updates and measures. But no he will not be announcing a lockdown so don’t panic”, Oppong Nkrumah wrote on his Twitter page.

Since the outbreak of the deadly disease, Ghana has so far recorded nineteen cases with no death.
