Al Jazira forward Ernest Asante has been handed a debut call up to the Black Stars ahead of AFCON qualifier against Kenya.
Ghana, already has booked a slot in the 2019 Total African Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Egypt but need to win against Kenya at Accra Sports Stadium to lead the group C table.
The stunning goal poacher who joined the United Arab Emirates side earlier this season on a fee of one million euros was included in the Black Stars final twenty-four member squad for the AFCON qualifier against the Harambee Stars.
Asante was in a fine-form last season with FC Nordsjælland,capping 66 matches scored 21 goals and helped them to finished third on the Danish League before joining Al Jazira.
He will battle it out with Crystal Palace forward, Jordan Ayew as we as Trabzonspor wonder-kid Caleb Ansah Ekuban for a starting line-up against Kenya on March 23, 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Asante is expected to help Ghana sink the Kenyans by replicating his fine-form if he get a playing time.
