Two persons have died after a galamsey pit collapsed in Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred at the night of Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Mptauam Bontefufuo in the Amansie West of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased are Yaw Asiedu 35 years and Osei Kwame 54 years.

The bodies have since then been deposited at a morgue in the district..
