American rapper Rick Ross has promised Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artist Stonebwoy that he can arrange a virtual or in-person meeting and collaboration between him and pop artist Rihanna “this week.”
Stonebwoy has worked internationally on songs with Stormzy (Life & Money), Angelique Kidjo (Manodzi), Beenie Man (Shuga), Sean Paul (Most Original), and Keri Hilson (Nominate).
The two spoke on Instagram Live on Saturday, February 3, 2024, after Ross indicated that he would like to work with Stonebwoy on his upcoming African project.
When asked who he would “die” to work with by the CEO of Maybach Music Group, Stonebwoy replied, “It is got to be you and on the female side it is got to be Rihanna or Taylor Swift, for now.”
Rick Ross responded to this by saying, “Rihanna, we could finish that this week.
“And the only reason I’m not gonna say tonight is because I got another dinner. I’ve been celebrating my birthday all week, my brother.”
Rick emphasized his commitment to ensuring Stonebwoy and Rihanna worked together by saying, “I am just going to let you know, we going to do that.”
Cake Remix and Pour It Up Remix are just two of the songs that Rick Ross and Rihanna have collaborated on.
