Ghana defender Andy Yiadom could missed the country’s upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers after contracting the devastating coronavirus.
Ghana face Ethiopia and South Africa next week which will be the last matches of the qualifiers and the 29-year old is likely to miss the two crucial games.[ads2]
Yiadom couldn’t play for Reading when they met Millwall in the English Championship on last Tuesday.
According to Reading head coach Velijko Paunovic, the right-back is currently in isolation hence the reason why he was absent on Tuesday’s clash.[ads3]
“Drinkwater had a soft tissue issue which he couldn’t recover from but hopefully, we can have him back for Saturday.
“It’s not a significant injury but it’s something we have to monitor on a daily basis. Yiadom had to isolate due to Covid situation”, Velijko said as quoted by ghanasoccernet.[ads5]
