Former defender of the Black Stars, John Paintsil has ordered Bernard Don Bortey to apologize and confess to Ghanaians and the world at large, what he did in Israel to kill his football career.
Bernard Don Bortey- a former winger for Accra Hearts of Oak accused Paintsil of framing him for theft 15 years ago in Israel which led to his football career to die out.
Paintsil has however responded to the allegations, given Bortey three days to apologise for the defamatory statements made against him and to confess to the world the actual crime he committed in Israel that led to his inability to secure a contract with Meccabi Tel Aviv.
“He came to Israel and I took him as a brother but 15 years after that, he still goes about destroying my image. He knows what he came to do in Israel that led to his stay being terminated by the club. I give him up to Monday to come out and tell Ghanaians exactly the crime he committed or I will be forced to come and and show to the world what he did backed by evidence. It was not about a watch he stole. There is a damning secret that I have decided to keep for the sake of his integrity as a Ghanaian but if he has decided to blame me, I will spit it out if he doesn’t apologize by Monday 4th March”- Paintsil tells Atinka TV Sports Court.
