The discovery of a 26-year-old man’s lifeless body under strange circumstances shocked and horrified the Baifikrom community near Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.
The deceased, identified as Kweku Kakra, also referred to as “Kweku Opa” in the community, was discovered dead in the Baifikrom Cemetery, suffering from numerous gunshot and cutlass wounds.
He was well-known in the neighborhood for frightening the residents and for being allegedly involved in criminal activity. Sources claim that in addition to bullet wounds found on his back, he also had a severely broken leg.
A cloud of suspicion was raised about his death due to his reputation as an armed robber, which prompted many to conjecture about the potential reasons for the heinous murder.
The discovery of Kweku Opa’s body has sparked fear and concern among residents, raising questions about safety and security in the area.
Although no arrests have been made as of yet, the police command has started an investigation into the matter as the body was deposited in the morgue.
