The all-time leading topscorer of the Ghana Senior National team, Asamoah Gyan has scheduled to decide his future with the Black Stars today.
The 33-year old announced a shocking retirement from the Black Stars after fourteen years of active service to the national team.
Following his sudden retirement from the national team, President Akufo-Addo invited the head coach , Kwesi Appiah, the Management Committee alongside the Normalization Committee for a meeting at the Jubilee House yesterday over Gyan’s retirement.
The President, subsequently, during the meeting spoke to the Kayserispor attacker on the telephone, asking him to rescind his decision and return to the national team for preparations ahead of the AFCON 2019.
However, the former Sunderland forward has stated that his manager, Samuel Amin Addo will be speaking on his behalf in a press conference today regarding his retirement from the Black Stars.
He has also promised to issue a statement based on the telephone discussion he had with the President during the meeting yesterday.
Meanwhile, Ghana have scheduled to have a PRE-AFCON camping at Dubai in the first week of June with Dede Ayew to serve as the captain whiles Asamoah Gyan will remain as the general captain for the Black Stars.
