Former Asante Kotoko skipper, Amos Frimpong has pleaded with the club’s top hierarchy to act fast and appoint new head coach to avoid any disappointment again in coming Season.
Asante Kotoko prior to the start of the just ended season parted ways with then coach Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum who had secured the topflight title in his first attempt and waited later on before bringing in his successor which according to Frimpong aided in the Club’s below par performance in the 2022/2023 Season.
Asante Kotoko finished 4th in the Betpawa Premier League and were ousted in the fourth round of the MTN FA Cup in the just ended topflight season.

Frimpong believes getting a coach and allowing the coach to oversee recruitment before the season begins will likely help the club succeed in the upcoming season.
“I will plead with management to appoint coach early so that he will do his own recruitment and select players that will fit his system” – he told Kessben TV.
