Asante Kotoko has officially secured the services of forward Isaac Mintah on a two-and-a-half-year deal, following the successful completion of his medical examination.
The 26-year-old striker, who previously played for Legon Cities and Aduana Stars, made a significant impact during the 2023/24 league season. He netted nine goals and provided three assists in just 11 matches, establishing himself as one of the league’s most efficient forwards.
Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum expressed his enthusiasm about Mintah’s addition, stating, “Isaac is an exceptional forward who knows how to make things happen in the final third. His eye for goal and ability to link up with teammates make him a perfect fit for our style of play. We’re excited to have him onboard and look forward to seeing him do well for us.”
Mintah also shared his excitement about joining the club, saying, “I’m so happy to join Kotoko; it’s a huge moment in my career. This club has a strong winning mentality, and I’m ready to be part of that. I know there’s a lot of competition for places here, especially in the attacking areas, but that only motivates me to push harder and improve every day. I’m here to give my best, help the team, and contribute to the success of this great club.”
Mintah’s arrival is anticipated to enhance Asante Kotoko’s offensive capabilities as they progress in the Ghana Premier League.
