Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold Sporting Club will be representing Ghana at the two prestigious Confederation of Africa club competitions.
The Ghana Football Association’s Executive Committee have concluded in a meeting held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 that the 2019/2020 Football season has been cancelled.
The decision means Ghana for three years running has not completed a season.

The Women’s Premier League which was already halfway through remaining 7 matches has also been cancelled.
With this decision the Executive Committee further concluded that the previous representatives will be representing the country once again in the 2020/2021 edition.
Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana at the CAF Champions League level and AshantiGold will represent in the cAF Confederation Cup according to the Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum on Angel FM.

The two clubs won the ticket to represent the nation based on their exploits in the 2019 Normalization Committee Special Tournament.
Asante Kotoko were winner after beating Karela on penalties in the Tier 1 tournament and AshantiGold beat Nzema Kotoko at the Cape Coast Stadium in the Tier 2 tournament.
It’s rather unclear the next line of action for the Association.
