Central Midfielder Mudasiru Salifu has left Asante Kotoko Sporting Club on a permanent move to Al-Bukiryah FC of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after four seasons as announced on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
Mudasiru joined Asante Kotoko Sporting Club in 2019 and for his performances earned a call-up to the Black Galaxies. He netted his first goal for Asante Kotoko against Dreams FC in the opening fixture of the 2021-2022 season which ended 3-1 in Kotoko’s favour.
Asante Kotoko made the following statement on the Club’s website:
Mudasiru’s contributions to the club ever since his arrival have been immeasurable both on and off the pitch, playing a vital role in our title-winning season. His high levels of enthusiasm and professionalism saw him been named vice captain for the season.

He also enjoyed two successful loan spells at Moldovan club FC Sheriff Tiraspol, helping them secure a group stage berth in the UEFA Europa League, where he faced off with five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. The midfielder, following the expiration of his loan deal, joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Batin in the Saudi Pro-League.

Muda’s terrific performances did not lack suitors who chased him for his service. However, after prolonged negotiations, Asante Kotoko SC reached an agreement for his permanent move to the Middle East.
