George Amoako has labeled the running of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club as tedious job following the end of mandate by the Nana Yaw Amponsah’s administration.
The three year mandate of the Board of Directors and the Executives of the Club came to and end in June 2023 and there seems to be an uncertainty to the new direction of the Club.
Nana Yaw Amponsah, the erstwhile Chief Executive Officer instituted several policies that made the Club self sufficient and became the go to media hub for Ghana Football.
Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have an aggregation of the most followed club on social media and have won a hattrick of the Best Social Media Award in the Ghana Football Awards.

Also, the Club have several partnerships under the Nana Yaw Amponsah’s administration.
George Amoako who has served as CEO before claims after two years at the Club, the tradition has been that nothing the administration will do will entice the supporters.

“Kotoko is not a simple institution,it is not easy at all leading the club.They get fed up with you after two years and everything you do,they will see it with negative eyes.
We need to sit down and look at the issues carefully.With how things are done with the Adhoc approach,it will be difficult.
It is not easy running Kotoko,you must be a Kotoko supporter and understand the culture of the club,it is not about being rich,most of the time the club has flourished,the club was not run by rich men.” -George Amoako(Former CEO,Asante Kotoko) told Oyerepa FM/TV.
