Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, C.K Akonnor has named a strong squad to face Sudanese side Al Hilal in the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors are expected to leave the shores of Ghana for Sudan on Thursday January 31 ahead of the crucial encounter.
Kotoko qualified for the group stages for the first time since 2008 and are paired in group C alongside Zambian giants ZESCO United and Nkana FC as well as Al Hilal from Sudan.
The encounter which is the first group stages game for both sides in the ongoing competition would be stage at the Al Hilal Stadium and has been scheduled for Sunday February 3 at 7:00PM in Sudan but 5:00PM local time.
C.K Akonnor is going to Sudan for his first ever CAF Confederation Cup group stages game as a coach with two goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and three strikers.
