Kumasi Asante Kotoko have parted ways with Policy Analyst, Dr. Amo Sarpong, Kyfilla.com has learnt.
Amo Sarpong was already serving a ban imposed on him by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association after firing a gunshots during Asante Kotoko NC Special Competition clash against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
The encounter which saw chaotic scenes between some management members of the Porcupines and some supporters of Berekum Chelsea, saw Amo Sarpong pulling out a trigger with the intention of scaring the supporters during the banter.
Information trooping in, suggest that, the Executive Chairman of the club, Dr. Kwame Kyei has ordered Amo Sarpong, who double as a lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), to relinquish his role as the Policy Analyst of the club
“It was an interesting journey, a true call to duty, I served with all my heart & might,” Amo Sarpong told Sikka FM in Kumasi.
“May God bless the club, the Executive Chairman, management, fans & grant us the favour to achieve greatness once again.”
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have scheduled to communicate the sudden decision to the public especially the supporters, very soon.
